Ini adalah sebuah sekolah ditubuhkan dan dikendalikan oleh artis dan animator, yang bermula pada tahun 1996 di studio saya dan berlaku "secara tidak sengaja." Apabila kami berpindah ke 952 Queen Street West, kami menambah kursus komputer kepada kurikulum. Kami juga telah menambah 2 program baru, Ilustrasi pertama untuk Sequential Kesenian, dan kemudian Konsep Seni untuk Animasi dan Video Games. Kedua-dua diploma telah dibangunkan sebagai tindak balas kepada minat pelajar dan pencapaian yang luar biasa bahawa dalam pendidikan mendalam dan latihan untuk kerjaya ini penting adalah sukar untuk mencari di Kanada.

Pada Disember 2015 kami berpindah ke 2944 Danforth Ave, Lokasi yang hebat untuk pelajar dengan perumahan yang mampu dimiliki boleh didapati berhampiran dengan sekolah, membeli-belah baik dan bersebelahan dengan garis transit utama.

MTM is in tune with the industry Max the Mutt offers a rigorous curriculum that has been developed (and is continually updated) to meet the increasing level of proficiency required by the video game and animation industries. In addition to a series of both classical and digital animation courses, the curriculum includes in-depth drawing classes, cartooning, acting for animation, character design, background painting/design, and a sequence of visual language, storytelling and storyboarding courses. In Year 4, students participate in a simulated production experience directed by an industry professional. Max the Mutt students graduate with a solid portfolio, a demo reel, the skills to write a cover letter and résumé, an online profile page, and the ability to conduct themselves professionally in a job interview. We have strong contacts in the animation community; our annual Industry Evening is well attended by representatives from animation and gaming companies. In addition, many employers contact us when they have job openings, and we regularly inform our graduates of employment opportunities. Application Requirements General Requirements Completed APPLICATION FORM and PORTFOLIO REVIEW FEE (Contact your Admissions officer for more details). A copy of your secondary and/or post-secondary school transcripts. Please provide transcripts from any institution attended in the last five years. A written character reference from a current or past instructor or employer, with contact information. International applicants are required to submit two references. Two still life drawings of objects in an environment. For example, a bottle on a table, or toys on a floor. A drawing of your own hand. A drawing of a room (interior). A drawing of a neighborhood (exterior). Pages from your sketchbook. Students who live at a distance can submit through attachments to emails and a Skype interview Program Specific Requirements Choose and provide an example from ANY TWO of the following categories: cartooning: characters and objects of your own design character rotation: one character (of your own design) in a rotation (profile, front and 3/4 front views); adding a sheet for the same character with different facial expresions is an optional extra background/layout design: design a background that your characters may exist in, with appropriate props storyboarding: create a 6-12 panel storyboard illustrating a simple idea that might be made into a film A 2-3 page essay about yourself and why you want to attend this program. Your essay must include: What animated films, studios, or animators have inspired you and why? What are your major interests and influences? What are your favourite books? Have you had any team or group experiences? Why do you want to attend this program? Program Length This is a FOUR YEAR DIPLOMA, the first year of which is Visual Arts Literacy (VAL). Concept Art for Animation & Video Games Diploma

This unique four-year diploma program includes a mix of fine art, illustration, animation, and cartooning courses, as well as concept courses and instruction in all necessary computer software from Photoshop to Maya. [+]

MTM offers the only in-depth Concept Art Program in Canada The Concept Art Diploma Program has been developed to meet the increasing level of proficiency required by the video game and animation industries. Like our animation program, this program offers a rigorous, in-depth curriculum based on suggestions and portfolio requirements from major video game producers and animation companies. This unique four-year diploma program includes a mix of fine art, illustration, animation, and cartooning courses, as well as concept courses and instruction in all necessary computer software from Photoshop to Maya. Our graduate work was recently featured in Conceptartworld.com Students in Year 4 will work on a “real time” assignment for a hypothetical client. You will graduate with a solid portfolio, a slide show, a brochure showing your work and giving contact information, and, most important, a well organized website that features your environment, character, prop, and creature designs. Instruction on what to do and not to do at an interview, mock interviews with recruiters, and instruction on writing a cover letter and resume are part of your course of study. We end with a gala Industry Event where you show your work and introduce yourself to recruiters from major companies. We have strong contacts in the animation and game communities: our Industry Event is well attended by representatives from animation and gaming companies. In addition, many employers contact us when they have job openings, and we regularly inform our graduates of employment opportunities. Designed with input from leading Canadian artists in the field, our Illustration for Sequential Arts Program has been structured to give students a broad skill base that will enable them to work in graphic design, advertising and publishing. They will have many skills valued by the game industry, and the potential to gain employment in the comic book and graphic novel industries. Since many of the courses in Illustration for Sequential Arts are also part of our Classical & Computer Animation Basics Diploma, students will have the prerequisites for, and may choose to take, other animation-related courses such as Storyboarding. Max the Mutt students graduate with a solid portfolio, a web page, the skills to write a cover letter and résumé, and the ability to conduct themselves professionally in a job interview. Dengan kejayaan menyiapkan program ini, anda akan memenuhi keperluan portfolio umum untuk Max program diploma Mutt. Musim panas ini, program ini akan ditawarkan pada bulan Julai dan 2 minggu pertama bulan Ogos, satu program 6 minggu, dengan kelas mesyuarat 5 hari seminggu, 3 jam AM dan 3 jam PM.
